We have discussed this issue with our team and the conclusion is below.
If you upgrade Smarty from 2.6.20 to 3.1.39 then it will be good if you contact any Smarty developer because we haven’t deep experience in smarty.
We can try one thing like a direct add field to the already generated template file, if you agree we can spend one or two hours.
