Working on practical way to solve the problem
Current FBU Intranet App was built with Smarty Template Engine for its user interface.
The last workable templates were compiled with the version 2.6.20.
When recompiled with modified under interface, it causes some problems running in the existing working environment.
To solve the problem, upgrade it to the latest 3.1.44 version.
Get an initial estimate on “How much impact of the latest version would create on the existing FBU Intranet app?”
If it’s not too serious, fix the compatibility issues.
If it would take too much time to fix, keep it on hold for other alternative.

We have discussed this issue with our team and the conclusion is below.
If you upgrade Smarty from 2.6.20 to 3.1.39 then it will be good if you contact any Smarty developer because we haven’t deep experience in smarty.
We can try one thing like a direct add field to the already generated template file, if you agree we can spend one or two hours.
