IntraNet SQL error

While adding a new Faculty from the IntraNet Faculty UI,
Faculty – Add a new Faculty
“SQL error” was encountered.

After looking into the SQL that caused the issue, it was found that a new data field “type” was missing from the original “insert” SQL statement. Because that data field was introduced after the original SQL statement.

“type” is to assign the faculty type to a faculty which indicates one of the three available:
A – Active; H – Honorable; F – Former

After adding that data field, adding a new faculty no longer causes “SQL error”, providing that required data fields are filled that include first name, last name, and department. (See the screenshot below)

The SQL error was fixed on 5/25/2025.

Alumni Careers/Employers Job Postings not Reflected on Career Opportunities List

Faculty Profile Text Display Adjustments

Current IntraApp v1 editing on “Short Bio” field of Faculty Profile does not support HTML tag. So the content would display as a pure text string, as shown below:

Remove “Former” Faculty, and only keep “Honorable” Faculty
Rename “Honorable” Faculty to “Emeritus” Faculty
Remove the following from the drop-down list:
- DTCM/DAc Bridge Faulty
- Clinic Practitioners – San Jose
- Clinic Practitioners – Santa Cruz
- Former Faculty

Upcoming CEUs: Add more links

Fix the Chinese date format on the Homepage News section

Currently the date format shown on the Homepage News section (mobile devices) is as follows:

Date Month, Year: 20 8月, 2024

Wrong Date format

However, it should be like this

Homepage: News slide on mobile device not connecting to related page

The user can scroll to right or left of the slides on the News section by tapping on the right or left arrow icons.

But when the user taps / clicks on the slide, it does not lead the user to its related page; although if the user taps the date below the slide, it does lead the user to its related page.

Fix the setting so that the slide will lead the user to the related page when it’s tapped / clicked.
