Alumni: Add Discussion Board (Forum)

Adding a Discussion Board (Forum) to facilitate the peer supporting.

Requirements:

The Forum (Discussion Board) is open to logged-in Alumni only.

There will be a moderating service by the plugin itself (built-in).

The moderating mechanism will differ from the Job/Story/CEU publishing.
The Discussion Board can assign a few (login users) as the moderator

Using the default interface comes with the plugin.

Initial links

Closed on 9/30/2024 due to no further requests for quite some period of time. Re-issue it if requested in the future.

To set it up, you need to log in to Google Apps with an admin account.

Or manually enter related credentials.

Select and set up cookie related plugin that complies to GDPR requirements

Select a plugin and install / test it on the website.

Evaluated on “Cookie Notice For GDPR & CCPA” plugin first.

Switched to “Complete GDPR / AVG / CCPA Cookie Compliance WordPress plugin”.

Tested on the developing website first.

Installed and activated on the production website on 2/21/2023.

Event: Customize Single Event CSS settings

1. Reduce the font size of the event post title to the same font size as the regular PAGE title when the page is on the cell phone devices.

2. Reduce the height of the banner hero image to the same size as the regular PAGE when the page is on the cell phone devices.

Fix Gravity form input fields layout and font size issues

Fix the input fields layout and font size issues.

Provide global solution instead of fixing every new form right after being created.

See the attached screenshots…

For some reason, the list items’ font was set at 13px before.

It’s too small.

Set it to 1em so that in the future, it will display with the proper font size.

If that global settings are done, those two lines that are page dependent (postid: 86678, 86681) can be removed.

The old / existing forms with issues contain this CSS class (legacy class?)

.gform_legacy_markup_wrapper .ginput_container_checkbox .gfield_checkbox li label

The new form just created, it does not have .gform_legacy_markup_wrapper class.
