Drag the “Page Menu Widget” from the “WordPress” group.

Drop it to the left sidebar.

Limit homepage editing only to specific users

To better maintain homepage editing, limit editing feature only to pre-specified users.

Exclude users even with “admin” user role.

Implement custom codes to restrict users who can edit homepage to only a group of pre-defined users.

It was implemented first on the dev site (4/10/2024), then main site (4/11/2024).

Retrieve the latest posts as featured posts on the homepage

Instead of retrieving Post ID from FBU settings,

retrieving the latest post of the corresponding Category as the Featured Post for the Homepage.

Both English and Chinese sites have their own latest posts. So retrieve correctly on each language.

Fix missing Inner Sub-Menu issue

For Program related pages, they should have inner sub-menu built -in.

But some pages do not have related inner sub-menu as expected.

It was found that the Menu setting was left blank. That’s why the sub-menu displayed was not related to the program.

By selecting correct Menu defined in the Menu section, the sub-menu shows up correctly.

Tracking back further, those pages without correct sub-menu were all built with the same Page template that used old sub-menu (set up in the Menu section) that did not exist (because it was renamed to a newer Program title).

By renaming the new sub-menu title back to the original sub-menu title, all pages that uses that old sub-menu title display the sub-menu correctly.

Inner Menu: Highlight bar too close to the Inner Menu options

Now: Fix the issue ASAP

When the page with Inner Menu is scrolled up and Inner Menu becomes stocky, the highlight bar (yellow one) got too close to the Inner Menu options.

To fix:

Faculty: Display Faculty image for jpg, png, and gif formats

Currently the image format is fixed at jpg only.
Add png, gif to the available format list.

Link to the Practitioner on the new site, and expand the profile of that Practitioner

Currently it links to the old site.

Inner Menu: Revise the Inner Menu layout

Implemented:

Change the Title and menu icon per new design for Tablet/Mobile screens
The expanded menu shows only the Current page and its children pages, no more siblings of the current page
No frame within a frame: The expanded menu does not need a frame to wrap around it

Regardless of whichever the current page is, the display is all the same.

Meaning the behavior and display of the Inner Menu is all the same in any pages that require the Inner Menu.

Step 1: When the Inner Menu is first clicked to expand

Step 2: When any of the top level Menu Item is clicked.
It will display only the top level Menu Item clicked, and its sub pages. No sibling of its top level Menu Item.

The Inner Menu display or behave is page independent.

If the Secondary menu title is blank
