Faculty records housekeeping

Faculty photo is stored in the “photo” data field of the Faculty table.

If that field is blank, it will display default avatar photo on the frontend pages.

Even with photo file in the data field, still, it should be verified if the image file does exist on the server.

Use the “Search for Faculty” page and set Display = Y to show only the records to be used on the frontend pages.

Clinic Faculty records housekeeping

There are some relations between Faculty and Clinic Faculty tables

For any record in the Clinic Faculty table, it should have a mapped Faculty ID exists in the Faculty table.
There are First name and Last name fields in the Clinic Faculty table. But to simplify record maintenance purpose, they will not be used. Instead, the First and Last names from its mapped Faculty table will be used. So the mapped ID field cannot be blank for all Clinic Faculty records.

Course records housekeeping

There are a good number of Course records that should be either removed or updated.

The “Search for Courses” page can be used to verify if a Course record is in good condition.

There are up to 6 selection criteria that can be used to narrow (filter out) Course records for easy checking.

Fix broken links before launch

While developing, there have been many changes, deletes, and what not. So broken links are deemed to happen.

But before launch, most, if not all, of those broken links should be fixed.

Once reasonable (caused by change of permalinks, page moving around, etc.) broken links are fixed, the reported (or logged) number of broken links should drop sharply.

Pages Housekeeping

Page Housekeeping Guidelines

Move all TEST pages to the bottom of the Tree.
Keep only one page for testing unless there is a known good reason to keep more than one. If in doubt, delete it.
Keep the TREE structure as close to the MAIN MENU as possible for easy maintenance in the future. It doesn’t have to, but if does, it will save editor a hell of time to understand why the Tree was structured that way at that time. Like for now, can anyone explain to me why the TREE structure is constructed as it is,
Delete all Draft before launch unless editor know why there are set as draft.
MAIN MENU aside, keep more important (up to editor’s discretion or FBU school policy) as close to to top as possible. In many cases, pages are displayed according to the Tree order (which is Page Menu ID) by default. And you want more important pages displaced first. Homepage is without a doubt the top page.

Elementor Theme Builder Templates Housekeeping
